How it works
What is PlaNet?
Through missions, you earn points that will help you climb the leaderboard and challenge your colleagues. Plus, you can win fantastic prizes that will help you take another step toward a more sustainable future!
Participating in missions
Each mission consists of a description explaining what to do and a form to participate. You may be asked to take and upload photos, or answer questions or quizzes... These are simple actions, some of which you can do from home, others during your coffee break at the office or while waiting for the train in the morning! Plus, you can use your smartphone, PC, or tablet, whichever you prefer.
Once you have participated in the mission, your contribution will be verified, and we will tell you if you have successfully passed the test or if you need to try again—after all, sustainability isn't always a walk in the park!
Photo sharing flag
In the missions, during the image upload phase, you are asked whether or not to agree to share your image. By giving your consent, you agree that the image you uploaded may be used for newsletters or internal news dedicated to the activity carried out on the platform. Your consent is optional and is intended for the purpose of sharing the best missions among colleagues and encouraging those who put in the most effort and find smart solutions.
Earning points
PlaNet Points
These are the points needed for the leaderboard. Get as many as possible to challenge your colleagues and win the leaderboard!
ECOins
These are the points you can use to support green projects. Get as many as possible to maximize your positive impact on the environment!
Bonus and penalty points
For every mission you complete, in addition to the points tied to the mission, you will have the chance to earn extra points. How? Through your commitment! The more effort you put into completing the missions, the more you will be rewarded. Bonus points can go up to a maximum of +5.
But be careful, if you try to cheat, points may also be taken away.
For example, points will be deducted if you try to upload images taken from the Internet or if you use photos already uploaded by your colleagues (except for missions where it is explicitly requested). The maximum number of points that can be deducted is -3.
The leaderboard
In the event of a tie, the number of missions completed and the speed of completion will be taken into account.
There are three different leaderboards:
Individual Leaderboard
This leaderboard follows an "everyone for themselves" rule.
Team Leaderboard
In this leaderboard, teams compete against each other. The points earned by the top 8 people in the team are added together to create the team score. That is why everyone's participation is essential!
General Leaderboard
Teams from all companies participating in PlaNet will compete to see who is the greenest team of all!
Duration
Once it closes, the winners will be declared, and participation in missions will no longer affect the score, so it is best to complete them as soon as possible!
In addition to winning the general or team leaderboard, you can receive badges such as "best of the week," which will remain visible next to the user's name until the next assignment.
Private Team
Each team can have a maximum of 10 people. The first person to join an empty team becomes the captain. The captain can decide to make their team private, meaning only they can decide who to invite, or leave it public. For public teams, every member who joins can invite colleagues to join their squad.
Invite a colleague
Having a full team will allow you to earn more points and climb the leaderboards. How do you invite colleagues to your squad? On the PlaNet home page, next to your team name, you will find an "invite" button. Click on it and enter the email of the colleague you want to invite to your team. The more, the merrier!
The prizes
The top three finishers in the Individual Leaderboard will win the following prizes:
A Carbon Neutral Year
1st place
Zero Emission Car
2nd place
Zero Emission Travel
3rd place
The members of the top three teams in the General Leaderboard will win the following prizes:
Carbon neutral LinkedIn profile
1st place team
Zero-emission video calls
2nd place team
A certified CO₂ capture project
3rd place team
Zero Emission Call
With Up2You Zero Emission Call, you can offset the emissions from your calls with colleagues and clients. Give them an Up2You code: this code allows you to support sustainable projects, such as forest conservation, whose primary goal is to capture CO₂ emissions. This way, you make your calls planet-neutral. Great for making a good impression on that particularly indecisive prospect.
CO₂ Capture Projects
All team members will be assigned a digital Up2You code. This can be used to support sustainable projects like forest conservation or ecosystem protection, which have the primary goal of capturing CO₂. Do some good for the planet with a simple click.
Tree
Plant a tree with a click! With this reward, all team members will be assigned a digital code to plant a tree in one of Up2You's sustainable projects. Choose the project you prefer, in Italy or around the world.
Carbon Neutral Year
Thanks to the Up2You Carbon Neutral Year, for the next 12 months you can get rid of eco-anxiety and truly go green. From car trips to vacations and dinners at restaurants: all your emissions will be neutralized through certified sustainable projects. The carbon neutral year includes both Zero Emission Travel and a year of Carbon Neutral car usage.
Zero Emission Car
Make your car zero-emission. Thanks to the Up2You Zero Emission Car sticker, which you can display on your vehicle, all CO₂ emissions from your car will be neutralized for the next 12 months through certified sustainable projects. It will be like driving a Tesla, more or less…
Zero Emission Travel
Zero Emission Travel is the Up2You solution that allows you to travel sustainably by offsetting your trip's emissions. By scanning the QR code on your boarding pass, you can choose which sustainable project to support: forest conservation, ecosystem protection, and many others. Each of these projects is capable of capturing an amount of CO₂ from the atmosphere equal to that emitted by your trip. Whether you took a plane, train, or ship, your journey will be net-zero and super eco-friendly.
ECOins and ECOshop
To redeem rewards using your ECOins, follow these simple steps:
1. Go to the ECOshop page
2. Choose the project you are most interested in and proceed with the purchase
3. Complete the process. The corresponding ECOins will be deducted from your balance
4. You will receive an email confirming the transaction
But be careful!
Each project is available in limited quantities. Once they run out, you will need to choose from the remaining options.
You will find the available quantity next to each project card.
