Cos’è un bilancio di sostenibilità?

Il bilancio di sostenibilità (o report ESG) è un documento che descrive in modo trasparente e strutturato le performance ambientali, sociali e di governance di un’azienda. È uno strumento fondamentale per comunicare l’impegno ESG a stakeholder, clienti, investitori e istituzioni.

Chi è obbligato a redigere il bilancio di sostenibilità?

Oggi l’obbligo riguarda grandi imprese quotate, banche, assicurazioni e aziende con oltre 500 dipendenti (già soggette alla NFRD).

Con la CSRD, l’obbligo si estende a:
- imprese con +250 dipendenti dal 2025;
- gruppi extra-UE attivi in UE dal 2026;
- PMI quotate dal 2028.

Le PMI non quotate restano escluse, ma possono redigere volontariamente il bilancio per anticipare gli obblighi o rispondere a clienti e bandi ESG.

Quali standard è meglio seguire per redigere un report ESG?

Up2You aiuta le aziende a redigere bilanci in linea con i principali standard internazionali:
- VSME (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs): standard semplificato per le aziende che vogliono redigere il bilancio in forma volontaria;
- ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards): standard ufficiali per le aziende che vogliono o devono redigere il bilancio secondo la CSRD;
- GRI Standards: standard globale per la rendicontazione ESG.

Qual è la differenza tra bilancio di sostenibilità e dichiarazione non finanziaria (DNF)?

- La dichiarazione non finanziaria (DNF) era il documento richiesto dalla direttiva NFRD.
- Il bilancio di sostenibilità, nella sua versione aggiornata secondo la CSRD, include dati più completi, indicatori quantificabili e un maggiore livello di trasparenza ESG.

Cosa contiene un bilancio di sostenibilità?

I contenuti principali del bilancio di sostenibilità includono:
- Analisi di doppia materialità (impatto dell’azienda sull’ambiente e viceversa);
- Strategia ESG aziendale e target di sostenibilità;
- Dati su emissioni CO₂, consumo risorse, economia circolare;
- Politiche su diritti umani, diversità, governance e formazione;
- Indicatori quantitativi allineati agli standard GRI o ESRS.
