Arca Etichette: Corporate Carbon Footprint, decarbonization strategy, supply chain engagement, and EUDR support
The challenge
Arca Etichette is an Italian company that has led the supply and production of self-adhesive labels for more than 75 years, serving sectors that include cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food. Customer service sits at the center of its model, backed by a portfolio built on state-of-the-art graphic and paper-converting technology.
Sustainability is built into the business model, a deep-rooted commitment confirmed by its status as a Società Benefit (Italy's benefit corporation status) and by the B Corp certification it earned in 2022 and renewed in 2025. Arca Etichette sees sustainability as more than compliance with European regulation: it treats it as a strategic lever for sharpening its competitiveness and creating lasting economic value. That commitment rests on generating positive impact on the environment, on people, and across the entire supply chain, while supporting customers with low-impact packaging solutions.
With this in mind, Arca Etichette chose Up2You as a specialist partner to make the program systematic. The goal of the collaboration was to build and optimize environmental data collection, calculate the company's carbon footprint precisely, and secure methodological support for drafting the annual Impact Report.

Needs and objectives
Meet customer demands
Arca Etichette's program was driven by the market's growing focus on ESG, and in particular by the needs of customers that are already B Corp certified. The company wanted to serve those customers with labeling solutions that are increasingly sustainable and traceable.
Strengthen long-term competitiveness
Arca Etichette set out to consolidate its market position over the medium to long term. The goal was to obtain objective data that would form a solid basis for future strategic decisions on energy efficiency, materials, and supply chain, and to stand out in vendor assessment processes as a reliable, well-organized partner.
Initial challenges
Availability and structure of environmental data
At the outset, the main challenge was gathering the information. Arca Etichette identified room for improvement in the availability of its baseline data, which had to be sourced from suppliers and/or organized in a clear, precise way.
Engaging the whole organization
Spreading a culture of sustainability across the entire company was a significant challenge. Broad engagement from staff and from every function was needed to keep everyone aligned on the sustainability objectives, to refine the data collection model for the carbon footprint and for EUDR traceability, and to manage the data behind the Impact Report.

The project
The collaboration between Up2You and Arca Etichette began in 2024 with one guiding premise: optimize the company's sustainability efforts and get credit for them through solid documentation that could be shared externally, while strengthening a culture of sustainability shared across functions.
Following an alignment workshop, the Up2You team worked closely with the company to clear the initial hurdles. Together they built a precise, methodical data collection process, essential both for sourcing the Group's environmental information and for assessing Arca Etichette's positive social impact. That work made it possible to calculate the Corporate Carbon Footprint across two years (the analyses were run in 2025 and 2026, reporting emissions for 2024 and 2025 respectively).
In parallel, Up2You provided the methodological support needed to draft the annual Impact Report, an essential requirement for maintaining Società Benefit status. In 2025, on the strength of the findings from the 2024 emissions analysis, the program expanded to include an emissions reduction strategy. At the end of this phase of the collaboration came a communication and training initiative for employees, culminating in dedicated masterclasses designed to align every business function on ESG and encourage broad engagement.
In April 2026, Arca Etichette also hosted a major supplier engagement meeting attended by roughly 20 companies. The company faces increasingly demanding sustainability requirements from its supply chain and has to stay competitive in the market, so the event was designed to bring suppliers on board and meet those standards together. Partners came away with a clearer sense of the importance of launching reporting, certification, and emissions reduction initiatives. They were also prepared to provide more precise carbon footprint data of their own the following year. Finally, they gained a sharper view of sustainability's key role in keeping the entire value chain competitive and resilient. Up2You attended as Arca Etichette's sustainability partner, on hand to give suppliers hands-on support with their own programs.
The results now give Arca Etichette a solid, objective basis for guiding future strategic decisions on energy efficiency, materials, and supply chain management, and for cementing its position as a company that walks the talk in its market. To round out this end-to-end support, Up2You is currently providing dedicated technical and regulatory guidance to align the company with the European EUDR regulation.
