Objective
OIC Group came to us to analyze and quantify the direct and indirect emissions generated by its business activities, and to start a program aimed at reducing its carbon footprint.
Solution
OIC Group's journey began in late 2022 with the calculation and offsetting of its Scope 1 and 2 emissions. The emissions calculation was then updated in 2023, after the company moved to a new site, which sharply reduced its Scope 1 emissions.
In 2024, OIC Group decided to continue its reporting journey and to quantify its direct and indirect emissions.
With the support of our technology, we helped OIC Group collect its data and calculated its Scope 1 and 2 emissions. The company then offset the emissions calculated by supporting our certified projects.
In 2024, OIC Group also decided to make one of its own events carbon-offset: we calculated the emissions associated with the event and advised the company on how to reduce them. By then supporting our certified projects, OIC Group was able to offset the emissions it could not reduce, making it a carbon-offset event.
