Etelec: Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, CBAM, B Corp certification, sustainability report, and Impact Report

Etelec Italia S.p.A. works in the connected energy sector, supplying solutions for electrical connection and insulation.
For Etelec, sustainability is a responsibility before it is a value. The company launched its ESG program ahead of any regulatory requirement, and for more than ten years it has run initiatives to support employee well-being. More recently, Etelec chose to become a Società Benefit and to earn B Corp certification, confirming its place among the most advanced players on these issues in its industry in Italy.
To take on the challenges of sustainability reporting and emissions accounting, Etelec turned to Up2You as a specialist partner. With Up2You’s tools and know-how, the company was able to calculate its carbon footprint accurately, align with the requirements of the CBAM regulation, and produce both its sustainability report and its Impact Report, the document Società Benefit are required to publish.

Aligning with the CBAM regulation was no simple task, in part because of how complex the technical information on the ministry’s platforms is.

The project
The collaboration between Etelec and Up2You began in 2024, with support in preparing the sustainability report and launching the B Corp certification process, which ran from late 2024 into early 2025.
The joint work continued in 2025. Up2You supported Etelec in calculating its Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions with CliMax, Up2You’s proprietary platform for carbon footprint measurement. In parallel, with help from the Up2You team and through Choral, the sustainability reporting platform, Etelec produced its sustainability report for the second year in a row and received hands-on support in drafting its Impact Report, the document Società Benefit are required to publish. The company also completed and filed the CBAM reports required by European law in each quarter of 2025.
The partnership between the two companies will continue in 2026, when Etelec will repeat the work of the previous years, once again calculating its Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and preparing its sustainability report and Impact Report.
