Protects biodiversity
Countless studies have revealed that millions of animal and plant species worldwide are at risk of extinction. Environmental protection has a direct correlation with combating climate change: in order to meet this challenge, existing biodiversity must be preserved.
Project areas
All projects included in the Up2You Biodiversity package, in addition to being certified according to the main international standards, have obtained CCB (Climate, Community & Biodiversity) certification . This recognition attests to the proper and concrete protection of the animal and plant species present, as well as contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 15 "Life on Earth."
Why support theUp2YouBiodiversity package?
The benefits
Choosing this package allows you to support the initiative introduced at COP15 in Montreal 30x30: to preserve biodiversity by protecting 30 percent of terrestrial areas (lands, rivers, lakes and oceans) by 2030. Approximately 15 percent of terrestrial areas are currently protected, and the certified projects in the Up2You Biodiversity package fall within this percentage.
The result
Through the geographic diversification of projects in the package, the protection of more than 75,000 animal and plant species is achieved, such as Andean bears in Peru, macaw parrots in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil, and Sumatran tigers in Indonesia.
